How to choose the right tiles for your room

With so many different tiles available, choosing one can seem difficult. We find the easiest way is to narrow things down step by step rather than trying to choose from everything at once.

Start with the tile size

A good place to start is deciding what size of tile you like. Whether you’re drawn to a larger format tile, something more traditional or a smaller feature tile, knowing roughly what size you’re looking for immediately helps narrow down the options.

Browse the ranges

Once you’ve settled on a size, browse the ranges and pick out any hand boards that catch your eye. You don’t necessarily need to decide on one straight away — pick a few that you think could work.

Take them home

This is probably the most useful part. You can borrow the tile boards and take them home, allowing you to see the tiles in the actual room they’re going into. Colours can look quite different under showroom lighting compared with the natural and artificial light in your own home.

Pick your favourite

Once you’ve seen the samples in the room, it’s usually much easier to decide which one feels right. Bring the boards back to us, let us know which tile you’ve chosen and we can then order what you need.
